Donna M. Smith Donna Smith is a native of Hatton, North Dakota, and graduated cum laude from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor’s degree in public relations in 1992. Donna graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Law with distinction in 2006. While in law school, she was a member of the North Dakota Law Review and president of the Student Trial Lawyers’ Association. She was elected to the Order of the Coif, an academic honor society. Prior to law school, Donna worked as a claims adjuster in commercial and personal lines insurance, handling liability and property claims. She earned the Associate in Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America. Donna has a general litigation practice, concentrating in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice, and personal injury. She is a qualified neutral (mediator) in North Dakota.
