Gordon (Gordy) Myerchin is a native of Crookston and East Grand Forks, Minnesota, who graduated from Moorhead State University in 1969 and the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1974. He is licensed in state and federal courts in the States of North Dakota and Minnesota. He practices in the areas of insurance defense, medical malpractice defense involving mental health providers, commercial litigation, construction law, personal injury, credit and collections, landlord-tenant, banking and bankruptcy, not-for-profit foundations/corporations and nursing home law and regulation.
Gordy is a member of the American Bar Association, North Dakota and Minnesota State Bar Associations, Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, and American Health Lawyers Association. He is a past board member of the North Dakota State Bar Association Board of Governors (1991 - 1995) and is past president of the Grand Forks County Bar Association. He presently is a board member of the North Dakota Health Council.
Gordy is a qualified neutral (mediator) in Minnesota and North Dakota.
Gordy has an emphasis in providing litigation defense to long-term care institutions, as well as providing day-to-day counseling and legal advice relative to the provision of long-term care. Gordy also represents and advises medical institutions on the collection of accounts for medical institutions.
